VENTIQUES VENTS websites (collectively “ VENTIQUES VENTS,” “ventiques.triggerdev.com”, “we,” or “us” in this document) refer to sites hosted by or on  VENTIQUES VENTS. This privacy policy describes how  VENTIQUES VENTS uses and protects any information that you give us. We are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. If you provide us with personal information through  VENTIQUES VENTS, you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

Website Visitors

Like most website operators,  VENTIQUES VENTS collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request.  VENTIQUES VENTS’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how  VENTIQUES VENTS’s visitors use its website. From time to time,  VENTIQUES VENTS may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.

In each case, VENTIQUES VENTS collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with  VENTIQUES VENTS.  VENTIQUES VENTS does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities, like purchasing or receiving website services.

All of the information that is collected on VENTIQUES VENTS will be handled in accordance with GDPR legislation.

Additional details on information that may be collected and/or analyzed through use of this or other VENTIQUES VENTS operated sites (may depend on use of E-commerce site):

We may also use device identifiers, cookies, and other technologies on devices, applications and our web pages to collect browsing, usage or other technical information for fraud prevention purposes.

If you have a WordPress.com account and leave a comment on the site, your IP address and email address associated with your account may be shared with administrator(s) of the site where you left the comment.

• With Your Consent: We may disclose and share your information with your consent or direction.

Legal grounds for processing personal information

We rely on one or more of the following processing conditions:

Access to data

You have the right to request a copy of the information we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all your personal information, please follow the instructions at the end of this policy under Contact.

All customer-provided data can be viewed and changed by the individual. The individual would need to first call or email to view or receive information.

Examples of information you have access to (if applicable):

• Contact, shipping, and billing information
• Status of recent orders (including subscriptions);
• Your complete order history;
• Personally identifiable information (including name, e-mail, password, communications and personalized advertising preferences, address book and settings);
• Payment settings (including payment card information and gift voucher, gift card and check balances);
• E-mail notification settings (including Product Availability Alerts, Deliveries, Special Occasion Reminders, and newsletters);

• Your content, devices, services, and related settings;
• Content that you recently viewed;
• Your Profile (including your product purchases, comments, and personal profile).

Information you have access to may vary depending on the site and the type of information collected (ex. E-commerce sites).

Retention of personal information

We will retain your personal information only for as long as we need to, for the success of the VENTIQUES VENTS projects and the services that support  VENTIQUES VENTS. We keep contact information (such as mailing list information) until a user unsubscribes or requests that we delete that information from our live systems. If you choose to unsubscribe from a mailing list, we may keep certain limited information about you so that we may honor your request.

VENTIQUES VENTS will not delete personal data from logs or records necessary to the operation, development, or records of VENTIQUES VENTS.

VENTIQUES VENTS shall maintain individual customer data for at least 3 years to better track and foster community growth, and then automatically delete non-essential data collected. Individual names and email addresses will be retained indefinitely, to preserve our ability to respond to code of conduct reports.

On VENTIQUES VENTS sites, banking/financial data collected as part of a reimbursement request is deleted from VENTIQUES VENTS 30 days after the request is marked paid. The reason for the 30-day retention period is to prevent organizers having to re-enter their banking details if a wire fails or if a payment was marked “Paid” in error. Invoices and receipts related to VENTIQUES VENTS expenses are retained for at least 7 years after the close of the calendar year’s audit, by instruction of our financial consultants (auditors & bookkeepers).

When deletion is requested or otherwise required, we will anonymize the data of data subjects and/or remove their information from publicly accessible sites if the deletion of data would break essential systems or damage the logs or records necessary to the operation, development, or archival records of the VENTIQUES VENTS projects.

Rights in relation to your information

You may have certain rights under data protection law in relation to the personal information we hold about you. In particular, you may have a right to:

• Request a copy of personal information we hold about you;
• Ask that we update the personal information we hold about you, or independently correct such personal information that you think is incorrect or incomplete;

Data Security

We take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect your personal information to prevent loss, unauthorized access, misuse, disclosure, alteration and destruction. Implementing appropriate physical and electronic procedures to help safeguard and secure personal information.

In the event of a security breach, we have in place managerial procedure to mitigate any damages to individuals affected.

Here is our simplified security process when handling security breaches (steps may not be in order):

• Notify appropriate supervisory authority in no more than 72 hours after becoming aware of breach of users’ personal data (includes number of users whose data was exposed, nature of breach, and actions being taken to mitigate effects)
• Identify hack and remove their code and means of access
• Change all passwords and recover fresh backup
• Contact all impacted users of data breach
• Take preventative measures to prevent hack again
• If needed, considering the need of law enforcement investigation before publically announcing the breach

We take these steps to prevent data from further being exposed and being transparent with users about security situations involving data. This process (along with privacy policy) is in accordance with EU privacy policy standards.

Children’s Privacy

Protecting the privacy of children is important to us. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13. To access and create an account, the user must be at least 18 years old.

Payments

If you choose to accept payments through a gateway like PayPal or Stripe, some of your — your customers’ — data will be passed to the respective third party, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and your customer’s billing information.

E-commerce Sites

If you choose to conduct payments through E-commerce stores such as WooCommerce, some of your – and your customers’ – data will be passed to the respective third party, including information required to process or support the payment such as the purchase total and your customer’s billing information.

WooCommerce stores may choose to connect to email services, analytics and reporting tools, accounting software and other services to serve their customers. In doing so, they may be sharing certain data with those services.

Our website may contain links to other websites provided by third parties not under our control. When following a link and providing information to a 3rd-party website, please be aware that we are not responsible for the data provided to that third party. Additionally, the inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by  VENTIQUES VENTS on this site.
